marble sculpting factory, silk weaving factory, wood carving factory, lantern making factory!
so many factories visited in the passed few days. actually watching how the marble is chipped and smoothed into the requested designs was amazing, same within the silk weaving factory; the process in which they grow the silk worms and mass produce them and spool all the silk off from their pupae.
visited historic sites here too; the marble mountains and an ancient brick building site, Mỹ Sơn (pronounced ‘mee-sun’). they were all created the 4th and the 14th century by the kings of Champa, to worship the god Shiva.
Soon off to Huế (pronounced ‘whey’), and on Tuesday morning off to Ho Chi Minh city. Oh, and I have a nice looking tan coming along :) hope you all enjoy the photos!
